Is my data private?

Yes. Everything you enter stays on your device. MoneyBook has no account, no sign-up, and never sends your data to any server. There's no tracking, analytics, or ads.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. MoneyBook works fully offline and requires no account.

What is Smart entry?

Smart entry lets you paste a bank SMS and have the amount, date, category, and merchant filled in for you automatically. It uses Apple's on-device intelligence, so the text is processed entirely on your iPhone — nothing is uploaded.

Why does Smart entry say "Coming soon" on my phone?

Smart entry needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer, on the latest iOS). On other devices it appears as "Coming soon," and you can add transactions with Manual entry. Receipt-image reading is also coming soon.

How do I add or edit accounts and categories?

Add accounts from the Accounts tab (the + button). Manage categories under More → Categories.

How do I export my data?

Go to More → Export data (CSV). You choose where the file is saved or shared — MoneyBook doesn't keep a copy.

Is my data backed up?

MoneyBook stores data locally. If you use Apple's device or iCloud backup, your app data is included in your own Apple backup, which only you control.

How do I change the currency?

Go to More → Currency and pick your currency.
