TaskDone works entirely on your phone unless you choose to share with someone. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold.
Nothing leaves your device. Your tasks, the days you ticked them off, your reminder times, your theme and your profile picture are stored only in the app on your phone. We cannot see any of it, because it never reaches us.
Sharing needs an account, because two phones have to agree on who is connected to whom. Signing in uses Sign in with Apple.
Once signed in, the following is stored on our server so it can reach the people you share with:
Your profile picture is never uploaded. It stays on your phone.
Only you, and only the specific people you have connected to. This is enforced by the database itself, not just by the app: a request that isn't yours is rejected at the server, so a task you never shared cannot be read by anyone else even in principle.
Connections are one-to-one and mutual. There are no groups, and nobody is added to your list without an invite link you sent, or a code you entered yourself.
Reminders you set are scheduled by your phone and involve no server at all. The only push notification we send is a nudge from someone you're connected to, about a specific task they gave you. It contains their display name and the task title. You can turn notifications off at any time in More, or in iOS Settings.
The tip jar is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple ID.
Two companies, both acting only as infrastructure:
No one else receives your data. We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any third-party tracking.
You can also email us and we will delete your account for you.
TaskDone is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store or who can see it, we will update the date at the top of this page.
